One of the most common greenhouses gases
and yet the most destructive of them all
is carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is
emitted into the air as we exhale, burn
fossil fuels for energy and deforest the
planet. There has been a considerable
increase of carbon dioxide in the
atmosphere over the past few centuries
and more so after the Industrial
Revolution. Scientists have spent years
tracking its alarming increase and the
truth remains bare. We are in a global
climate crisis and with rising levels of
carbon dioxide emission, our Earth is
trapping more heat than required –
pushing our planet into the extremes of
Global Warming. |

Countries today are releasing great
amounts of carbon dioxide and it is
observed that US alone accounts for
about 30.3% of all emissions. Meanwhile,
as individuals we are adding over 30
billion tons of carbon dioxide in the
atmosphere every year. |
