Calling every
individual to work together, UNEP
(United Nations Environment Programme)
has begun the Plant for the Planet:
Billion Tree Campaign. The objective is
simple; plant one billion trees
worldwide in 2007. The campaign has
given every individual, organization and
community a chance to work towards the
betterment of our planet. And for Dr
Jannie Tay, this was all she had desired. |

Canada is taking some
landmark initiatives for
extensive Carbon
Capturing. The country
has a potential to store
up to 3,700 mega tones
of carbon dioxide. If
government policies are
adopted to stabilize
greenhouse gas
concentrations at
relatively safe levels,
it will cost less than
3% of the expected
economic growth by 2030. |

Dr Jannie Tay’s quest
to sustain life and energy on Earth acquired
a corporate identity as Save Our Planet
Foundation. SOPF is conceived as a
not-for-profit foundation, committed to
her vision of spreading 'EnergyGreen'
through sustainable tree planting and
reforestation. Her biotechnology
research and development lab in China
has been a phillip to her efforts of
reaching her optimal goal in the fastest
way possible. |

Joining hands with
UNEP, as a contributing partner, SOPF is
steadily working towards planting 10
million trees this year. However, the
final count of SOPF runs into planting
over one billion trees in ten years. It
is Planet Wellness at all cost. |
